Frequenly Asked Questions

We have provided you with a list of our most commonly asked questions and answers. If there is a question that you have that you don't find on this list, please ask the office or call us at 717-436-8334 for information and availability.

Q: What are the check-in and check-out times?

A: We look forward to your arrival as early as 2:00 PM for campsites and 3:00 PM for rental units. Check out time is 1:00 PM at all sites and units. Early check-in/check-out options of $5 per hour (based on availability) are available to you if you need a little extra time.

Q: What if I have to cancel my reservation?

A: Though we certainly hope you don’t, if you find you must cancel your reservation, simply give us 48 hours' notice prior to your scheduled arrival date and we will return your deposit in full. For holiday reservations, you must cancel 30 days in advance to receive a refund. A full description of our return policies can be found on our Maps & Rules page. In case of an emergency, please call and we will refund your deposit if we can re-rent your site.

Q: Can we bring our pets camping with us?

A: Yes you may! Pets are also allowed in all our rental units. Please keep your pets on a leash at all times and bring their vaccination papers with you.

Q: Are campfires allowed and can I bring firewood?

A: Yes and yes! Campfires are permitted within the fire rings. Firewood is also available to purchase at our store. For everyone's convenience and enjoyment, please don't move our fire rings!

Q: Can we request a specific campsite?

A: You you may-- if you see a specific site on our map that you want to reserve, just include it in the "Additional Info" section of our Reservation Form, or give us a call and tell us!

Q: Can we have visitors while camping?

A: Yes you may! Visitors must register at the office and unregistered visitors and guests are not allowed in the campground while the office is closed. There is a daily visitor’s fee of $5.00 per person, and overnight guests are $10.00 per night. Visitors 17 and under are free!

Q: Do you have seasonal sites?

A: Yes, Buttonwood Campground has a friendly community of seasonal campers that will all tell you there’s no better place to spend a summer than with us! Please check for availability.
